Sunkissed Sculpt & Glow | Review

Sunkissed Sculpt & Glow Kit
Today I have a review of a relatively new product from Sunkissed, their 'Sculpt & Glow*' Contour kit £4.99.
I have tried a bronzer by Sunkissed before, which I already have a review up of on my blog (you can find it here) so was excited to try out this new product.
Sunkissed Sculpt & Glow Kit
Firstly the kit comes with a 'Sculpt' shade, used for contouring and a 'Glow' shade, used for highlighting.
The contour shade is perfect for using to define cheek bones, the sides of your nose and jaw line. Unlike some contour products, this adds depth to your face without the usual orange tinge.

The highlight shade is used to highlight cheek and brow bones for a brighter, uplifted look. Some highlights have a chunky glitter finish, which can be unnatural for everyday use but I love this highlight as it has a natural shimmer that is find more suitable.

Overall I love this little contour kit, it's very affordable, the two shades are great and it has a sleek and compact design!

Do you have a favourite contour palette/kit? If so what is it?!
Let me know below in the comments.

Makeup for under £5 | W7 Cosmefics

When it comes to makeup, finding a high quality product at an everyday affordable price is something a lot of people want. Today I have four products ( in the picture below) from W7 and the great thing is... They are all under £5!
The product first up is the 'Cheeky Chaps' Multi Blush £4.95*. This blush contains a mix of three shades which when combined create a natural healthy glow on the cheeks, created by the small particles of shimmer that it contains.
This blush is perfect for everyday wear and each colour can be used as a highlight so has multiple uses.

Next up is the 'Lashtasic' Mascara* £4.95. A Black mascara to help create a false lash effect by adding volume and length to lashes.
This mascara is fairly good at holding a curl but is quite wet so is best applied in thin layers that are left to dry between each.

Next up is the 'Making Waves' Eye Colour* £4.95. This is a multi- eye shadow palette that contains 5 colours ranging from light to dark, perfect for creating a soft smokey eye.

Last but not least is the 'Kiss Me' Plumpling Lip Gloss* £4.95. This is a clear lip gloss, used to create the appearance of fuller lips or can be used over lip stick to add a shine.

These four products are just some of the affordable,  high quality products that W7 Cosmetcis sell! The whole range can be found on their website at... www.w7cosmetics.co.uk

W7 are currently updating their website so not every product they sell is listed, this is why two of the products in this post don't have any direct links to the page. Once I am able to add the links to the products, I will be updating this post!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Base Corrector Palette | Review

The makeup brand 'Makeup Revolution' is well known for its high quality products at everyday prices. Today I have their Ultra Base Corrector Palette to review and share with you all!
The palette contains 8 colours each with a different job at 'correcting' skin tone, here is a list of what each colour is
for:
Pink- Brightens
Green- Neutralises Redness
Orange- Neutralises Blue Tones
Peach- Helps to balance out slight discolouration
White-  Adds Natural Highlight
Cream- Neutralises Purple & covers Dark Areas
Brown - Balances Ashiness in Medium to Dark Skin Tones

The Colour creams are super blendable with a creamy consistency but haven't got the highest coverage although do help to tone down discolouration.
With the whole palette of 8 colours only £6, each colour colour works out to only 75p each which is great value for money!

The palette can be purchased online from the Makeup Revolution site or online and instore at Superdrug.

2 True BB Cream | Review

Today I am reviewing a BB cream from 2True. 2True is an affordable UK brand, selling high quality products at everyday prices!
The 8 in 1 BB beautiful cream* £3.50 is a BB cream (Blemish Balm) is a lightweight foundation that 'gives a fresh faced natural glow'.

I like the concept of the product, it has 8 functions in one tube, is lightweight, so is great for use on those good skin days and is an affordable everyday product!

I've only found that even though this product is in the shade light/medium, it has a slight orange tone to it. Me having fair skin, means the product doesn't match especially during winter when I'm generally even paler but I do think this product would be great for someone with a slight tan/less pale skin and is looking for a lightweight everyday BB cream!

Have you used/considered using a BB cream?

2True Lip Gloss | Review

2True Lipgloss
2True is an affordable UK brand that sell high quality products at everyday, affordable prices!

I have four of their lip glosses which I'm going to review today but if you would like to read my review of their great mascaras visit here and here for a review on two of their nail varnishes!

2True Lipgloss
(Lip Gloss' are in the same order below)
Crystal Lip Gloss £2.29*:
This is a high shine lip gloss with 2 other shades available in the range which could be worn everyday as leaves lips shiny but not shimmery. The only thing I don't like about this lipgloss is the applicator but it's not a big deal!

Plumptous Lip Gloss £1.99*:
This lip gloss is one of my past time favourites that I used to buy when I was younger! It's really moisturising, shiny and leaves lips plump. Perfect for parties!

Pro 8hr Power Lip Gloss £4.99*:

This lip Gloss is very pigmented, almost a shiny/glossy version of a lip stick that lasts well, in fact, I struggled to remove it!

Pro Wow Gloss for Lips £2.99*:
2True class this as a lip gloss but personally I find its more like a lip butter. Very moisturising on the lips and great for everyday wear!

As you can tell all of these products are very affordable!
If you are interested in having a look at the full range of 2True products you can find them at www.2truecosmetics.com

Glo & Ray Cosmetics | Reviews

Glo & Ray is a British cosmetic brand, designed to compliment every woman's unique look and one that I hadn't heard of until recently.

Today I have two of their products to review, a blush and a lipstick.

First up is the blush which is the 'Nuage Solo Blush' in the shade Luna Maroon-501* £11. The first thing that i love about this blush is the packaging which is a sleek, handbag Worthy compact that even comes with a built in mirror and a brush, handy for when out and about!
The colour has a peachy tone with a gold shimmer which gives a 'highlight' effect to cheeks. If 'peach' isn't the colour for you, Glo & Ray have 6 other shades in the range to suit everyone's needs.

Next up is the 'LA AMO Creamy Matte Lip Colour' in the shade 'Muse'* £12. This lipstick has a creamy texture and is very moisturising but leaves lips with a matte but slightly glossy finish.

This shade of the lipstick is a pinky/peachy colour with 10 other shades also in the range however if Matte lipstick isn't for you Glo & Ray have a range of 'LA AMO Creamy Shimmer Lip Colour' which gives a glossy finish instead.

The whole range of Glo & Ray Products can be found online here.

2true Mascara | Review

Recently 2True launched their new website to bring affordable Cosmetics to the UK. 2True have products with prices starting from £1.99 meaning they fit anyone's budget.

Today I have two of their mascaras, the 2True Pro Flasheyes mascara*£2.99 and the 2True WOW Mascara* £2.99.

Firstly, usually when it comes to more 'affordable' brands the range of each product tends to be very small, however 2True have over 10 different Mascaras in their range to suit every need which is great!

If you have read any of my previous posts where I talk about mascara, you will know that I don't usually get on with usual mascara and tend to opt for waterproof! Being sceptical of that when I first tried these Mascaras I found that they held a curl whilst lengthening and thinking lashes which is just what I look for in a mascara!
Also neither mascara flake or smudge meaning my lashes look the same at the end of the day as they did at the start!

The whole range of 2True products can be found at www.2truecosmetics.com and until the end of August you can get 10% off using the code: X00418
Or at online at www.superdrug.com and instore.

Makeup Routine | Updated

Recently I was thinking about my blog and realised that this time last year, I had posted my 'Makeup Routine' (which can be found here). Since then some of the products I use have changed, some are the same and some, completely new!

In this post I will be sharing the products I use on a daily basis and how I apply them!

Base:
After applying my Vivo Primer all over my face, concentrating on my T-zone, I go on to apply foundation. Recently I have been loving the L'Oreal True Match Foundation £9.99, it leaves a natural look/finish to my skin, it's light weight and super blend able, I apply it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
Next I like to conceal underneath my eyes and have been using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 for a while now, using it in the colour 'light' helps to brighten under my eyes whilst it conceals. I like to use my finger to blend the product in, as I've found this works best for me.
Finally to set my foundation and concealer in place, I tend to use my Collection Sheer Loose Powder £2.99. I think this works best with oily skin for me and I use this with my Primark Powder Brush.

Complexion:

Foundation can leave me face looking flat and lifeless, to bring it back to life I like to use bronzer and blush.

The bronzer I use is the 2True All Over Natural Bronzing Powder £2.29. I simply apply some to the areas of my face that the sun would naturally hit using my Real Techniques Contour Brush.
The blush I use is the Makeup Revolution Blush £1, for only one pound it's so affordable for everyday where, the picture shows the blush in the shade 'Treat' which is a lovely pink/coral shade and I apply it with my Technic Blush Brush. I use a powder blush and bronzer because they work best with oily skin which I have.

Eyebrows:

I have naturally light eyebrows, so adding colour and defining them is an important part in my everyday makeup for me.
The two products I use for my eyebrows are both from Make Up Academy (MUA) and they are the Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde £1 and the Eyebrow Mascara in Fair £2. I use the pencil to outline the shape of my brows then use the mascara to add the colour and definition. I find that the most important thing when using a pencil, is to keep brushing your brows, for the most natural finish.

Finishing touches:
To finish my makeup and bring it all together I use mascara and lip balm. My favourite mascara, as it's the only one that I find holds a curl is the Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara in Waterproof £7.99. I always use eyelash curlers before applying as it adds a curl to my lashes and improves the look of them.
The final thing I do is apply a layer of my Carmex Moistrising Lip Balm £2.69 to soothe and moisturise my lips!

I hope you liked this post! Do you use any of these products for your everyday makeup?

Soap & Glory Products | Review

Soap and glory
Today I have two Soap & Glory products to review, one is 'Love At First Blush' and the other is 'One Heck Of A Blot'!
Soap and glory
The first product I am going to review is 'One Heck Of A Blot'* £12 which is a Mattifying Translucent powder.
The powder comes in one colour but suits all skin tones and is super fine, meaning it has a Traceless feel on the skin unlike some other face powders.
This product is great for using on the T-Zone but can also be used on the whole face either with the sponge provided or a big fluffy powder brush.
It's slightly pricier to other powders on the high street but this is the best powder I have used in terms of how fine the powder is and how well it keeps oily/shiny skin at bay!

Soap and glory

Lastly I have 'Love At First Blush'* £11 which is a Multi Shade Blushing Powder.
The powder contains 5 different shades which can be used together or individually to create a really natural glow, even though the colours do have a shimmer they don't leave the face looking shiny.
This product is perfect during summer and can also even be used as an eyeshadow!
The packaging of both of the products are lovely, I would definately recommend both of these products.

They can both be found on Soap & Glory website here... http://www.soapandglory.com

Technic Cosmetics | Reviews

When it comes to makeup, my two most important things are the base and the application to achieve a flawless finish.
Over the past few weeks I have been using these four brushes by the brand 'Techinc' to apply my makeup.
From the top down, I have the 'Smudger Brush'* £2.99, this brush is great for blending eyeshadow into the crease. It isn't an overly fluffy brush but does the job perfectly.

Next I have the 'Foundation Brush'* £3.99, this is a fairly small foundation brush compared to others I have used. It is to be used with liquid foundation although I find it can leave foundation looking slightly streaky but can be helped by blending the foundation in lots.

Next I have the 'Lash comb and Brow brush'* £2.99, which is used to brush eyebrows into place and comb lashes through. I find the brow brush really handy to brush my brows into place and after I have applied my brow products to give a more natural look.

Finally I have the 'Blusher Brush'* £3.99, used to add a touch of colour to your cheeks. This brush is my favourite out of the four, it picks up a good amount of the product, feels super soft and applies perfectly!

Before putting any makeup on I like to prep my skin with a primer at least 5 minutes before hand.
Above I have the 'Smooth it Primer'* £3.99, this product is a smooth resurfacing primer to create a pore less finish. It has a really light, silky texture which leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

These products are really affordable and under £4!
They are sold all online at Lovethymakeup and some in store at Bodycare.

W7 cosmetics | Reviews

Today I have 4 products from the brand W7 that I'm going to review. In case you didn't know, W7 is a range of 'high quality cosmetics at an affordable price'.
The first product is the 'Absolute' Mascara* £6.95. First impressions are, the packaging looks very similar to the Benefit 'They're real' mascara, unfortunately I don't own one to compare the formula but I do know the W7 'Version' is a fraction of the cost. Even though I don't usually get on with mascara that isn't waterproof, I find this mascara adds volume, holds a slight curl and  doesn't flake or leave smudges under my eyes by the end of the day!

Next I have a Chunky Lips in the colour 'Sumptuous'* £4.95. Chunky lips are a range of lip butters, these are great if like me, you have dry lips but like to add a bit of colour without drying them out even more. 'Sumptuous' is a light pink colour with 5 others in the range.
Up next is an eye shadow from the Chunky Eyes range in the colour 'Mocha' £4.95. This product shows up as a golden, bronzed colour and has a slight shimmer to it. Even though it is classed as an eyeshadow, I've really liked using this product as an eyeliner to create a thick line then using a thinner line of my usually black liquid eyeliner. This product also has 3 other colours in the range.

And last but not least I have a blusher from the Chunky Cheeks range in the colour 'New York'* £4.95. This is a creamy blush which is simple and easy to apply and blend out to give a subtle flush of colour to your cheeks. 'New York' is a pinky, peachy coloured blush but W7 also have 3 others in the range.

Overall I think these products are great value for money and W7 have lots of colour choices in each range meaning there is something for everyone! All of W7 products can be found at www.w7cosmetics.co.uk

Zuzka Natural Lipstick | Review

Hello Everyone,
Today's post is a review on a product, by a brand called Zuzka. They sell Fresh Natural cosmetics which are handmade from Organic Herbs and flowers!
The product I am reviewing is their 'Natural Lipstick in the colour 'Candy Floss'* £14.99.

Zuzka's lipsticks are made with a blend of nourishing natural and organic oils and waxes.
I think the packaging looks 'sleek' and 'classic' which makes the lipstick look more luxurious.
The lipstick the shade I have is called 'Candy Floss' which is a lovely light pink that adds subtle colour to your lips, i find this good for me because i love bright coloured lipsticks but am only confident to wear colours like this!

I have quite dry lips and using this lipstick wasn't quite moisturising enough for me but would be great for someone that doesn't have dry lips.
Zuzka have 14 colours in their lipstick range in total that can be found Here along with the same colours in a lipgloss version.
Also the full range of Zuzka's products can be found Here.

Technic cosmetics | Review

Today I am going to be reviewing some products by a brand called Technic.

The first product I'm going to review is 'High Lights'* £1.99. This product is great to highlight your cheeks, eyes and lips and is easy to use by dabbing onto the area then blending with your fingers to give a subtle shimmer. The packaging is very similar to Benefit 'High Beam' although I haven't used the benefit highlighter to compare the formula. This product is super affordable and great to add some glow to your complexion!

The next product is the 'Lashitude' Mascara* £3.99. First
impressions of the product are that the packaging looks sleek and appealing. In terms of the actual mascara it added volume to my lashes but like other mascaras that aren't waterproof it didn't hold the curl I had achieved with eyelash curlers and flaked leaving smudges under my eyes. Apart from that it would probably be great for someone looking for volume rather than big, curled lashes.

The next product is this Eyeshadow Palette called 'Sultry'* £1.49. The palette comes with six different coloured eye shadows and is really affordable for only £1.49. The palette contains earthy colours that have a slight shimmer, great for day and night wear.

The next product is the 'Beauty Boost Foundation'* £3.99. The product is a brightening foundation, I think the foundation is a light coverage but covers blemishes and spots with a small amount of the product. It did leave my skin with a slight shine which is probably best for people with dry or normal skin but can always be powdered down to reduce the shine.

The next product is the 'Colourmax' lipgloss* £2.99. Although I wouldn't personally choose this colour lipgloss, it gives off great colour and coverage, with a glossy finish. The lipgloss has a fruity scent which is appealing and is easy to apply.

The next product is the 'Colour Fix' Fine pressed powder* (Price Unknown). This powder comes with a mirror and a sponge which is great for application when on the go. With the powder being fine I've found that it isn't cakey but unfortunately due to me having oily/combination skin it didn't keep my face matt for very long but would be great for someone who doesn't have this problem.

The last product is the 'Brilliant touch highlighter & blemish concealer'* £2.99. Firstly, this is really easy to use, just 2 or 3 turns of the dial, brush the product onto the area then blend with your fingertips or a brush. I've found that not much of the product is needed to cover blemishes and it didn't crease when used under my eyes.

Overall I think Technic's products are a good quality and super affordable but only have a limited choice of colours in some of their products.
Technic products can be bought from lovethymakeup.com

Sunkissed Glimmer Compact | Review

Hello everybody! I'm back again with another product review, I know I have been posting quite a few product reviews lately but I have some lovely products to share!

Today's product review is this 'Glimmer Compact' by Sunkissed £4.49. Sunkissed say 'The Sunkissed Glimmer Compact comes in five shimmering shades that blend together to create a natural looking bronzed glow, suitable for fair to medium skin tones' and I have to say the colours in this product, worked well with my fair skin tone by adding a hint of colour.

It's great to use in the hollows of your cheek for a contouring effect or all over to add a healthy glow!

In my opinion, I like the product because it suits my skin tone, has a lot of product for the price (19.5grams) and if your new to bronzing it's choice of 5 shades means there's something for everyone and can be adapted to meet individual needs.

The whole range of Sunkissed products can be found Here.

Back to Basics | Makeup starter kit

Today's post is about products that are 'needed' to start a makeup kit. These are just some of the things I think are best products to start off a makeup kit!

First things first, a great base needs to be created. For this if you are a total beginner in makeup, a bb cream might be best because it gives a light coverage otherwise I would use a foundation like Rimmel 'Wake me up' foundation £8.99 which helps make skin appear more awake and light but still only have a light to medium coverage.

Next a powder for me is vital, especially because I have oily/combination skin. I suggest something like Miss Sporty 'So clear' transparent powder £2.99  I have already featured this powder in My recent beauty buys post but it helps matte down skin and reduce shine.

One thing that can change a face are eyebrows, which Is why I think that a brow mascara is a must have. I suggest one by Mua £2 to start off a makeup kit because it's really affordable and is easy to  brush through your eyebrows to add colour and define, it's really that simple!

For lips I suggest something like this Collection 2000 lip butter £2.99 . Lipsticks are too much to put in a starter kit but using a lip butter means your lips are moisturised but they come in a range of colours, so colour can be added to your lips.

And finally the most important thing in my makeup bag for me is mascara! I use the Maybelline 'Rocket volum' mascara £7.99 . It thickens and adds colour to your lashes!

This is my idea of a makeup starter kit!
