Technic Cosmetics | Reviews

When it comes to makeup, my two most important things are the base and the application to achieve a flawless finish.
Over the past few weeks I have been using these four brushes by the brand 'Techinc' to apply my makeup.
From the top down, I have the 'Smudger Brush'* £2.99, this brush is great for blending eyeshadow into the crease. It isn't an overly fluffy brush but does the job perfectly.

Next I have the 'Foundation Brush'* £3.99, this is a fairly small foundation brush compared to others I have used. It is to be used with liquid foundation although I find it can leave foundation looking slightly streaky but can be helped by blending the foundation in lots.

Next I have the 'Lash comb and Brow brush'* £2.99, which is used to brush eyebrows into place and comb lashes through. I find the brow brush really handy to brush my brows into place and after I have applied my brow products to give a more natural look.

Finally I have the 'Blusher Brush'* £3.99, used to add a touch of colour to your cheeks. This brush is my favourite out of the four, it picks up a good amount of the product, feels super soft and applies perfectly!

Before putting any makeup on I like to prep my skin with a primer at least 5 minutes before hand.
Above I have the 'Smooth it Primer'* £3.99, this product is a smooth resurfacing primer to create a pore less finish. It has a really light, silky texture which leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

These products are really affordable and under £4!
They are sold all online at Lovethymakeup and some in store at Bodycare.

FaceB4 | Reviews

Today I have two products from the brand 'FaceB4' to review.
FaceB4 is a two step anti-bacterial Face wash and serum which work together to help 'fight the bacteria that causes spots and maintain clear skin'.
The first part of the two step system is the Anti-Bacterial Face Wash* £14.99. This product is really easy to use, simply by pumping the dual nozzles into your palm to create a foam. Applying to wet skin then massaging in circular motions, leaving for one minute then thoroughly rinsing.

The product is made up of a cleanser and toner which are combined in the foam, meaning washing your face is quicker and I have found, my skin isn't left feeling tight, as other face washes have done in the past.

The second part of the two step process is the Anti-Bacterial Serum*£9.99. This is used after the Face Wash and is applied to dry skin by pumping a small amount of the product onto fingertips, then gently massaging over your face in upwards motions.
It says on the packaging to do this regime twice daily and the serum works well as a primer before make up.
Overall I don't tend to get many spots but after using this product the first time before going to bed, when I woke up the next morning any spots I did have the night before had shrunk and were less noticeable.
I have been using this products for just over 2 weeks and have had a few spots appear in that time but this product clears them up much quicker than before and has generally left my skin feeling cleaner and clearer than it did previously!

This product is sold at can be found on the FaceB4 website but is also sold at Superdrug and Boots although the Serum is a different price on both compared to the FaceB4 website.

Fudge Urban | Review

Today I have two hair products to review by the brand 'Fudge Urban'. The two products I have are the 'Sea salt Texturising spray' and the 'Powder Styler'.
The first product I have is the 'Sea Salt Texturising Spray'* £6.99.  This product is a texturising spray which adds volume for a messy texture. This product can be used in two ways either by spritzing into wet or dry hair then leaving to dry naturally or with a diffuser for beachy waves, or spritzing into the roots of dry hair then turning your head upside down and blast with a hair dryer to add volume.
The first thing I love about this product is the scent, coconut! Which I absolutely love, I have used another sea salt by a different brand before and I didn't like the scent which put me off the product straight away.
Unfortunately due to me having naturally poker straight hair, this product doesn't work for me to add waves but works great when used on my roots and dried upside down which adds a reasonable amount of volume.
The last product I have is the 'Powder Styler'* £6.99. This product is a fine powder that adds instant texture and control to hair. It's really easy to use, simply by shaking into dry hands or directly onto dry hair before working into the scalp using your finger tips.

When using this product I found it really easy to apply to my hair, the only problem I really found was that it left a sticky feeling to my hair which although couldn't be seen, it didn't leave my hair feeling very nice however I have had this problem when I tried this kind of product but by a different brand.
This product added much needed volume to my fine flat hair, it's not something I would want to use on my hair on a daily basis but I would definitely use it for more volume when going to a party or something along that line.

Fudge Urban products are stocked at Superdrug and the whole range can be found here
You can also find the products and more information on them on the Fudge Urban website.

Beauty kitchen | Review

Ever since I started training to become a hairdresser, being in contact with water more, has meant my hands have suffered and become dryer.
As a result, when I was given the opportunity to try this 'Love Me 60 Second Manicure'* £9.99, I jumped at the chance!
'Beauty Kitchen's products are all 100% natural, freshly made to order, environmentally friendly and people, never animal tested'.

The scent of this hand scrub to me reminds me of gingerbread which I absolutely love but there are also two other versions of this hand scrub on the Beauty Kitchen website in different scents if gingerbread isn't for you!

The hand scrub is really easy to use, simply rub onto wet hands paying attention to the dry areas, then rinse off with warm water. I find that a little of this product goes a long way and is very exfoliating so you have to make sure you don't scrub too hard. I would recommend using this once a week to benefit however you can
use more often if you feel the need.

This product instantly made my hands feel smooth and moisturised although I still applied a hand cream after anyway.

The whole range can be found here... Beauty Kitchen

W7 cosmetics | Reviews

Today I have 4 products from the brand W7 that I'm going to review. In case you didn't know, W7 is a range of 'high quality cosmetics at an affordable price'.
The first product is the 'Absolute' Mascara* £6.95. First impressions are, the packaging looks very similar to the Benefit 'They're real' mascara, unfortunately I don't own one to compare the formula but I do know the W7 'Version' is a fraction of the cost. Even though I don't usually get on with mascara that isn't waterproof, I find this mascara adds volume, holds a slight curl and  doesn't flake or leave smudges under my eyes by the end of the day!

Next I have a Chunky Lips in the colour 'Sumptuous'* £4.95. Chunky lips are a range of lip butters, these are great if like me, you have dry lips but like to add a bit of colour without drying them out even more. 'Sumptuous' is a light pink colour with 5 others in the range.
Up next is an eye shadow from the Chunky Eyes range in the colour 'Mocha' £4.95. This product shows up as a golden, bronzed colour and has a slight shimmer to it. Even though it is classed as an eyeshadow, I've really liked using this product as an eyeliner to create a thick line then using a thinner line of my usually black liquid eyeliner. This product also has 3 other colours in the range.

And last but not least I have a blusher from the Chunky Cheeks range in the colour 'New York'* £4.95. This is a creamy blush which is simple and easy to apply and blend out to give a subtle flush of colour to your cheeks. 'New York' is a pinky, peachy coloured blush but W7 also have 3 others in the range.

Overall I think these products are great value for money and W7 have lots of colour choices in each range meaning there is something for everyone! All of W7 products can be found at www.w7cosmetics.co.uk
